  • What is your favorite dish to cook? How do you make it?

THIS IS AWSOME!!!                                                                                                                                          I just returned from deployment and while I was over there a real good friend of mine introduced me to a dish called Bugolgi. She is Filipino however the only Bulgolgi recipe I have found is korean...either way it is out of this world good!!

Ingredients: 1 lb of VERY thinly sliced beef ( I use thin ribeye cut, at angle, into very thin strips), 1/4 cup soy sauce, 3 tbls sugar, 2 tbls sesame oil, 1/4 teaspoon pepper, 3 green onions chopped, 2 cloves garlic minced.

Trim fat from beef, cut beef diagonally across grain about 1/8 inch thick (partial freeze beef for easier cutting). mix in remaining ingredients until beef is well coated. cover and refrigerate for 30 min. empty all liqueds and cook (med to med-high) in well seasoned wok. After meat is cooked through plate on top of sticky rice and enjoy!

P.S Make it a family event...introduce chop sticks to the mix.

  • I'M BACK!!!

To all my friends and family Thank you for all the support while I was away on my adventure.

I know that it has been some time since I added a blog to this site and I apologize for the delay, in country we went through alot of "Black outs" which made it difficult to put my experiences on the net.

I have been back and on R&R for the past few weeks and I must say it is a little wierd getting back into the swing of things here at home. My experiences over there can not be matched by anything I have done in my life to date.

Although I am VERY happy to be home, as crazy as it may sound, there is a small part of me that misses the mission. I now have a new respect of our military, duty, mission and our role in world stabilityI also have a great respect, through my travels to and from, for the support of our great nation and its americans.

I have put new pics. and audio in so enjoy and I will try and get back to bi-weekly entries and I will fill you in n some of my more exciting tales from the "ROCK"

       Serving you proudly,

       Monty

  • How about a "SANDwhich"

    Hi one and all,

Things are looking up here in camp kutamatada, I have taken on some extra jobs to pass the time and they are finally paying off in perks... to be announced at a later date.

I haven't got to experience a true sand storm yet however I have got to experience the effects of it....ITS EVERYWHERE. It is as fine as powder sugar and makes for a never .ending chore keeping things dusted.

I got to see 3 comedians  the other night and what a moral booster that was.

I have been working out (nothing else to do), studying for promotional tests (nothing else to do), and I am able to get some of my college credits done...( Thats right, nothing else to do).

Well thats about it for now, join me next week will you.

Serving all of you one day at a time,

  • Warrens great adventure

    Hi everyone,

I am looking forward to starting my great adventure very shortly, and I wanted to add a few words for your information.

When I get to my new home for X amount of days I will get a better understanding of how I can communicate with friends and family ( yes! that would be you). I am hopeful that I can still make entries on this web site, if this is the case I will be blogging about once a week so stay tuned to be amazed by the great adventures of Warren.  If not at the very least info. will flow through Carmen and my mom.

Well thats it in a nut shell, I hope to return with many stories and experiences to share... So wish me luck and I will be thinking of all of you on my trip.

                                               Warren

P.S take a look around my site and enjoy my video and audio... some of which portrays my passion for this adventure. So crank it up, kick back, relax and enjoy.
